Needs some fixing up before riding or use as a parts bike. Well used and well loved bike. Purchased it new in 1999 from the Bike Cellar on Fort (remember them?) and have been the only owner. I have the original sales receipt with model and serial number (LOL $2,610.00 back on Feb 1999!). Also have the manuals that came with it.
I enjoyed and looked after this bike, upgraded parts and maintained it. Over the last few yeas it has just sat in my garage and has not been ridden.
- Medium frame size I believe.
- Hayes front and rear disc brakes (upgraded from original cable front brake and rear V-Brake)
- 4" rear suspension with adjustable linkage.
- Answer Manitou X-Vert T, 4.0" travel front fork
- Shimano LX derailleur and shifters.
- Massive Gazzaloddi tires on Bontrager Maverick rims
- Truvative Hussefelt cranks (not a lot of miles on these and are the newest additions to the bike)
- polished aluminum rear swing arm (2nd one and was replaced under Trek warranty)
Things that need some work:
- disc brakes need to be bled
- Front and rear shocks should be serviced
- needs a good clean, lube and going over
I learned a lot and it served me well both at the dump or doing urban rides.
