I have a 2 1/2 year old Kenmore dishwasher which wasn't draining properly.We are a senior disabled couple who used it very lightly and have not used it at all for the last three months. So it should be as new.
Instead of calling someone to check it out, I replaced it. The gentleman who installed the new dishwasher noticed that the bottom of the drainage tube was dark and seemed to be clogged with dry debris . I am a disabled senior and I cannot get on my knees to remove the tube and clear it out. It's in the garage so that I cannot even test it.
If it is the pump, I have found on line that the are only $49 to $69.
Maybe you will luck out by getting an almost new machine for only $50 OBO .
