I'm looking for a roommate to share my awesome two-bedroom apartment on the foot of Mt. Tolmie starting November. The place is an easy 10 minute bike/bus or 20 minute walk to UVic and a little shorter to Camosun. Steps away from the 14 bus route.
The unit is spacious and bright. It has a balcony with a stunning West-facing view of Victoria, and a hammock. The shared spaces are furnished, the kitchen is stocked with basics. Rent is all-inclusive (heat, electricity, water, cable, internet). Building amenities include a pool, hot tub, sauna, games room, library, indoor parking, bike storage, storage lockers, and pay-per-use laundry. The building has a no-party policy, but get-togethers are fine. I like to have friends over for drinks, potlucks, games nights etc. on occasion.
A little about me: I'm a 25 year old female PhD student at UVic. My work often keeps me on campus for long hours, but when I find free time I like to spend it hiking, biking, running, beaching, camping, horseback riding, surfing, boarding, and I'm always up for trying something new.
What I'm looking for in a roommate: If you share similar interests I'm always looking for a new hiking and/or drinking buddy. Otherwise I'm pretty laid back. Be respectful and tidy, and be able to pay rent. Rent is month-to-month, but I'd prefer someone planning to stay long-term.
