One of the nicest around. Drives beautifully. Very well maintained.
"GL" means it has electric windows, mirrors and door locks. Go Westy auxiliary battery installed for camping. Halogen high beams and everything works, including the fridge!
Interior really immaculate and complete with items often missing, like the skylight cover with mosquito netting and the big mosquito net that goes across the rear for sleeping with the hatch open, and the optional inserts in matching fabric for the headrests.
Detailed maintenance records and receipts for the last 14 years/125,000 km. During that time it has had new cylinder heads, complete new exhaust system, including catalytic converter, starter motor, alternator, complete ignition system, engine control unit ("ECU" or brain!), all new hoses, new gas tank and associated fittings, hall sensor and various suspension parts—power steering rack, tie rod ends, bushings, wheel bearings, CV joints and much more, as well as 4 Bilstein shock absorbers. New skylight hardware.
So, actually, one of the few items with 418,000 km on it is the odometer! Recently installed "Go Westy" alloy wheels with Michelins tires bring it into the 21st century, since the original type tires are now made by only one Chinese factory and they are low quality.
Finally, it has the desirable (for those who know!) automatic transmission. If you think you want a manual transmission version be sure to include the highway in your test drive to see how much more relaxed an experience it is with an automatic. More nimble in town, too.
