$800 - No Illusions about this 1981 Westfalia - parts or project in Telegraph Cove, British Columbia for sale

We purchases this van last year but have since had to take it off the road due to mechanical issues. I put a charger on the battery tonight and started the van on the first try so it is running. Sounds a bit rough as it's been sitting a year and I can only imagine the oil in it is pretty gunky. However it was running quite well last year (good compression) when we took it off the road. It's been sitting a little under a year.
There is roughly $4-7000 in work that would be required to put this van safely back on the road. We have a recent inspection from our local service station which will outline the issues you'll face if you take this on. This is definitely a parts or project van. T
That said, the 3way fridge is working as is the cooker, however the sink is not. Upholstery is not great - this is a WELL USED van but we did a major clean of everything so the mattress covers and pop top are as clean as they're going to get. The Canvas is not in great shape with tears on either side that have been gaffer taped closed as a stop gab measure.
The van's been sitting under a Garry Oak tree for the past year so it's looking a little sad (sadder than it does in these pictures). Again this is a parts or project vehicle.
